Castleton Playgroup is a pre-school setting primarily serving the communities of Castleton, Marshfield, St Brides, Peterstone, Michaelstone and Coedkernew in Monmouthshire. The playgroup is sited within the grounds of Marshfield Primary School but operates independently. Marshfield is approximately half way between the cities of Cardiff and Newport in South Wales.

_____________________________________   Aims and Objectives The aims and objectives of the group are:-  ·To provide good quality provision for children age 2 ½  to 4 years.  ·To provide an environment where children of all creeds and cultures feel happy, safe and secure.  ·For all children to develop at their own pace and reach their full potential.  ·To integrate children with special need into the group, providing them with help and support in order to undertake all the activities of the group.  ·For parents to feel welcome and involved in the care and education of their child.  ·To forge strong links with the local school in order for the children to feel happy and confident upon starting school.  ·To work alongside other agencies involved in the care and education of a child.   But most importantly  · For children to have FUN, FUN, FUN, FUN, FUN learning through play.    _____________________________________   The Role Play Corner
