TO BEGIN WITH
A registration form has to be completed and a £10.00 registration fee paid in order for your child's name to be placed on the waiting list.
The registration fee will cover photocopying, new intake sessions for parents and child.
Due to the high number of children on our waiting list, families living outside Marshfield Primary School catchment area, for example Cardiff, Newport,
St Mellons, Duffryn, are advised to register their child with another setting as well as ourselves.
PRIOR TO CHILDREN STARTING
Parents and children will be invited to ‘Toddler' Sessions/New Intake Sessions.
These visits are intended to:-
give parent information about the group
give staff and parents a chance to discuss the child
enable parents to meet other new parents
If however parents cannot visit the group, a home visit can be arranged.
If parents do not have access to our website www.castletonplaygroup.co.uk , they will be given a copy of the Policy Booklet, which includes the full Admissions Policy, to take home and read - we would be grateful if this could be returned to playgroup in order to keep the photocopying cost down.
A copy of the Policy Booklet is always kept on the Parents noticeboard.
A copy of our ‘Welcome Booklet' will be given to parents.
The Welcome Booklet, Policy Booklet, newsletters, general information, inspection reports,photographs are also on our website.
This will provide parents with information on all aspects of the group. .
Children must be 2 ½ and potty trained before they start in the group.
Children will be allocated a start date.
PLEASE NOTE -If your child is not potty trained by their start date, they will be given a further 4 weeks for potty training to be completed.
If after this time your child is still not trained, and you wish to keep the place open, fees will be payable or temporary allocation to another child might be possible.
Parents and Supervisor will sign a contract designed to ensure the wishes of both parent and playgroup are met and the needs of the child are catered for.
Parents are asked to provide ‘proof of residence' (usually a utility) in Marshfield Primary School catchment area and a photocopy of their child's birth certificate in order to qualify for LEA 3 and 4 year old funding.
The group will try whenever possible to be flexible to the needs of the family as long as it is in the best interest of the child.
Once the final allocation of sessions has been made, it will not be possible to alter your sessions, unless you can find someone to change with.
